Here at Punk Nation, we're huge fans of Cady Groves. She's made a huge mark on the music industry already, between her constant appearances on other artists tracks, her own singles that are always completely amazing (and sometimes murderous), and her.. well.. loud personality. We got the chance to interview Cady and find out her favorite track from her collection, her memories from her first show and plenty more. Check it out below!

Of all of your songs, which is your favorite?
A song off my new album called "Red-handed".
What's the last thing you do before you go on stage?
I slap everyone in my band on the ass and tell em I love em.
If you had a catchphrase, it would be..
I do have one! It's, "bye" but you gotta say it with sass!
How was the recording experience for "Love Actually"?
Very emotional. I wrote that after my album was finished because my heart got murdered and attention had to be paid. I'll never tell the story, but it's one I'll tell my grandchildren.
What can we expect from your next release?
Soul. Heart. Also I'd like to work ice cream and John stamos into the music video.
Do you remember the first show you ever played?
Ha! Yes. How embarrassing I think I chipped my tooth on the mic and didn't know how to sing into it. Byeee.
Who is your dream concert opener?
Like who would I love to open up for?! Oh man, you know honestly at this point I'm happy if people wanna hear me sing songs so I'd take a campfire and 4 friends if that's all I had.
What advice would you give aspiring artists who dream of being in your position?
Don't expect anyone to tell you yes. Success is being told no a million times but to feel a yes within yourself. Expect to be called a crazy person.
From "Oh Darling" to "This Little Girl", your music has gotten a lot of airplay. How'd you react the first time you heard one of your songs on the radio?
I SCREAMED!! No artist can really convey what that's like it's just like everything. So emotional.
What's the best part of your career?
Getting to know all the kids I have saves me as a human. Some days you have 3 flights a day and you're grumpy and just don't wanna deal. Then I get on twitter and everyone is there and ready to laugh with me. Love it.
