Hit: The Inheritance/Dying For The Sun

Miss: Dead For A Day

To

A perfect balance of rock and metal.

Witherscape's The Inheritance is a balanced combination of rock and metal that definitely brings to mind Avenged Sevenfold. I was thoroughly impressed by the album, especially vocalist Dan Swano who deserves more recognition for what his voice can do. Album closer and title track "The Inheritance" is a remarkable one minute and fifteen seconds of piano, and probably my favorite moment of the collection. The only thing I didn't like was how unexpected the breakdowns were - They might have intended for the surprise but the album could've benefited from a little build up. Other than that, it's a strong release and should propel the band to new heights, and I hope it does. It'd be a devastation to the music industry if this was the only Witherscape release it ever saw.
